Black Kraft Flatback Tape

This 24-roll case of black kraft flatback tape suits packaging operations, bookbinding workshops and colour-coding systems that need a consistent, smooth-backed roll. Each roll provides 60 yards of 7.5 mil material with rubber adhesive for reliable bonding on paper and board.

Rubber adhesive upgrade

The rubber adhesive delivers 77 oz/in adhesion and 51 lbs/in tensile strength, replacing weaker acrylic or water-based tapes that lift under tension or humidity. Switch when sealing heavy cartons or binding spines that require a stronger, immediate grab without dwell time.

Sustained temperature performance

The tape maintains adhesion across a 40 to 180 degree Fahrenheit range, resisting cold-weather brittleness and heat-softening during long storage or transit cycles. Elongation stays at 4 percent under continuous load, so seals hold without stretching or splitting over weeks of handling.

Questions about this item

How wide is each roll and how many rolls come in the case?

Each roll measures 2 inches wide and the case contains 24 rolls.

What surface preparation is needed before applying the rubber adhesive tape?

Clean the surface so it is dry and free of dust or oil; the most common mistake is skipping this step and getting a weak bond.

When should a roll be replaced based on the temperature rating?

Replace the tape if it has been exposed to temperatures outside the 40 to 180 degrees Fahrenheit range, as the adhesive may lose its 77 oz/in adhesion.
