Industrial splicing tape

This double coated repulpable tissue tape measures 2 inches wide by 36 yards long and arrives in a case of 24 rolls. It uses an acrylic adhesive system designed for splicing operations at paper mills, print plants and bag manufacturing lines.

Sustained heat and tension performance

The 4.3 mil construction delivers 6 lbs per inch tensile strength and maintains 30 oz per inch adhesion across a temperature range from minus 10 to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Water soluble adhesive ensures the tape breaks down completely during repulping without contaminating the fibre stream.

Replaces non repulpable splicing tapes

Switching from conventional coated tapes eliminates adhesive buildup in pulpers and reduces downtime for screen cleaning. The jump is worthwhile when a production line runs continuous web processes and needs a tape that dissolves cleanly during recycling.

Questions about this item

Does the acrylic adhesive on this 4.3 mil tape lose grip after running continuously at 300 °F?

The tape is rated for a continuous range of -10 °F to 300 °F, so the acrylic adhesive maintains its 30 oz/in adhesion throughout that span.

What dispenser core size fits the 2 inch wide rolls in this case?

Each roll is 2 inches wide and 36 yards long; a standard 3 inch core dispenser for 2 inch tape will accommodate them.

Can the repulpable tissue carrier be recycled alongside standard office paper waste?

Yes, the water-soluble acrylic adhesive and tissue carrier make the tape completely repulpable, so it breaks down in normal paper recycling streams.
