Blue Polyester Film Tape for Splicing

This blue polyester film tape uses a silicone adhesive for splicing silicone papers and polyethylene. It also masks electronic parts during the manufacture of silicone liners by paper converters. The tape is supplied as a case of 36 rolls.

Sustained High-Temperature Performance

The tape withstands temperatures ranging from 32 to 385 degrees Fahrenheit during continuous exposure. It provides excellent resistance to chemicals and fumes under these sustained conditions. A tensile strength of 20 lbs/in and 100% elongation maintain bond integrity.

1-Inch Width by 72-Yard Length

Each roll measures 1 inch wide by 72 yards long with a 2.5 mil thickness. Adhesion is rated at 20 oz/in for reliable holding power. Buyers needing a different width, length, or adhesive chemistry should select another product.

Questions about this item

Does the tape soften or lose grip when a machine runs continuously near 385 °F?

The tape is rated from 32 °F to 385 °F, so it maintains adhesion and tensile strength through extended high-temperature cycles.

What surface preparation or primer is required before applying the silicone adhesive?

Clean the substrate of oils and dust; the 20 oz/in silicone adhesive bonds directly to silicone papers, polyethylene and electronic parts without extra primer.

Will the 2.5 mil polyester film tear when pulled over sharp edges on legacy splicing equipment?

At 20 lbs/in tensile strength and 100 % elongation the film stretches rather than snaps, even on older metal guides.
