Clear 2.0 Mil Polypropylene Tape

This clear polypropylene tape comes in a case of thirty-six rolls, each one inch wide and seventy-two yards long. The film is two mils thick and uses an acrylic adhesive system. It is suited for offices, warehouses and packing stations that need a transparent seal for cartons, lids and light laminating tasks.

Replaces thinner or rubber-based tapes

Upgrading from a one-mil film or a rubber adhesive roll is worthwhile when the job demands 20 lbs per inch tensile strength and 20 oz per inch adhesion. The wider temperature window of thirty-two to one hundred fifty degrees Fahrenheit also makes the switch sensible for environments that see cold storage or warm shipping containers.

Simple hand or dispenser application

The tape unwinds cleanly from standard one-inch cores and can be applied by hand or with a desktop dispenser. The most common issue is insufficient pressure after placement; the acrylic adhesive needs firm smoothing to reach full bond, especially on dusty or textured surfaces.

Questions about this item

Does the 1-inch width fit standard desktop dispensers?

The rolls are 1 inch wide, matching the core size used on most hand-held and bench dispensers.

What is the easiest way to avoid bubbles when applying the 2.0 mil film?

Unroll a short length, press the centre down first, then smooth outward with a squeegee or credit card to push air toward the edges.

How often should I replace rolls that see daily carton sealing?

With 20 lbs/in tensile strength and 160% elongation, a roll typically lasts through many cartons; replace when adhesion noticeably drops or the film tears unevenly.
