Box Sealing Tape 3 Inch 1000 Yard Case

This clear polypropylene tape measures three inches wide and one thousand yards per roll, supplied as a case of four rolls. It uses a hot melt rubber adhesive on a 2.9 mil film for standard carton sealing tasks in shipping or storage environments.

Suits High Volume Shippers Not Light Users

The bulk case suits operations that seal many boxes daily and need consistent adhesion of 65 oz/in and tensile strength of 50 lbs/in. Occasional users or those needing only a single roll should look at smaller packs instead.

2.9 Mil Thickness With 110 Percent Elongation

The 2.9 mil backing provides a balance of tear resistance and stretch up to 110 percent elongation, helping the tape conform to box edges without snapping. This specification decides whether the tape meets your package security requirements.

Questions about this item

How often will the 2.9 mil polypropylene tape need to be replaced on a high-volume packing line?

Each roll provides 1000 yards of 2.9 mil tape, so replacement frequency depends entirely on daily box volume and tape length used per carton.

What limit appears first when sealing cartons continuously with this 50 lbs/in tensile strength tape?

The 110% elongation limit is reached before the 50 lbs/in tensile strength fails, causing the film to stretch permanently under sustained heavy loads.

Does the hot melt rubber adhesive lose grip when the warehouse hits 140°F during summer shifts?

The adhesive is rated for 35° to 140°F; at the upper limit it remains functional but may soften slightly, so avoid direct heat sources.
