Double-coated polyester tape for industrial use

This clear double-coated polyester tape uses an acrylic adhesive system and is supplied as a case of 48 rolls. Each roll measures three-quarters of an inch wide by 60 yards long. It is designed for tasks such as holding plastic keyboards in place, fabric seaming, corrugated liner board splicing, automatic splicing machines, name plating, graphic arts, and splicing paper, films, foils, and silk screen materials.

Capacity and temperature limits

The tape provides 80 ounces per inch of adhesion and a tensile strength of 8 pounds per inch. Its 3.5 mil thickness and 10 percent elongation give it headroom for consistent splices and holding power. It withstands temperatures from minus 4 up to 212 degrees Fahrenheit. Beyond that range the acrylic adhesive will lose performance.

Build quality and daily handling

The polyester carrier resists tearing and maintains dimensional stability during application. High tack acrylic adhesive grabs quickly on a variety of substrates including plastics, fabrics, and foils. The 60 yard roll length reduces changeover frequency on automatic splicing equipment. Clear construction allows visual inspection of the bond line during graphic arts and name plating work.
