Office Tape for Tabbing and Temporary Repairs

This transparent film tape is supplied in a case of 96 rolls, each measuring 3/8 inch wide by 72 yards long. It uses a rubber-based repositionable adhesive designed for tabbing gift wrap and wallpaper, repairing damaged folders, photocopying tasks and temporarily attaching cardboard tags or holding items in gift baskets.

Temperature Range and Adhesion Performance

The tape operates across a 40 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit range while maintaining a 10 oz/in adhesion level. Its 2 mil thickness and rubber adhesive formulation allow clean removal and repositioning without residue during normal indoor use.

Tensile Strength Determines Load Capacity

With a tensile strength of 51 lbs/in and 130 percent elongation, the film resists tearing when bundling or securing lightweight objects. Buyers who need a higher holding force for heavy cartons or permanent sealing should select a different tape grade.

Questions about this item

How do I apply the 3/8" film tape so it stays repositionable?

Unroll the 2 mil film, press with light finger pressure to engage the rubber adhesive at 10 oz/in, then lift and reposition within the 40-120°F range before the bond sets permanently.

When will the rubber adhesive on these 96 rolls need replacement?

The adhesive remains repositionable through repeated lifts; replace a roll when the 10 oz/in tack no longer holds after cleaning the surface, typically after many cycles.

What limit appears first when the tape is under constant load?

Sustained tension hits the 51 lbs/in tensile strength before the 130% elongation fully extends, causing the film to snap rather than stretch further.
