Autobody Masking Tape Case

This case contains sixteen rolls of yellow utility-grade masking tape built for autobody repair work. Each roll measures three inches wide by sixty yards long and uses a natural rubber adhesive system. The tape is designed for professional painting environments where clean removal matters.

Capacity and Paint Performance

The 5.7 mil thickness and 25 lbs/in tensile strength give enough body to resist tearing during masking and paper hanging. Adhesion at 16 oz/in holds edges down through spray cycles with solvent-based or water-based paints. The tape releases without residue after baking at up to 320 degrees Fahrenheit for short periods.

Temperature and Environmental Limits

Continuous service range runs from 0 to 248 degrees Fahrenheit, so the tape remains stable in shop conditions and paint booths. Waterproof construction prevents adhesive breakdown when wet-sanding or washing masked panels. Elongation of 8 percent means the backing stretches very little, keeping sharp paint lines on curved surfaces.

Questions about this item

Will the 3-inch width match the masking paper rolls I already use for panel work?

The tape measures 3 inches wide, a standard width that aligns with common automotive masking paper and film rolls used in body shops.

How can I confirm the natural rubber adhesive is holding correctly before I spray?

Press the tape firmly onto the panel; the 16 oz/in adhesion should grip instantly without lifting edges, and the yellow colour gives clear visual contrast to spot any gaps.

Does the case include a dispenser or do I need a separate handheld cutter?

The case contains 16 rolls of 60-yard tape only; a handheld dispenser or cutter is not included and must be purchased separately.
