Genuine Dell OEM replacement ribbon cable

This genuine Dell OEM ribbon cable carries the video signal between the motherboard and the 11.6 inch non-touch LCD panel on Chromebook 3100, 3110 and 3120 laptops equipped with the V976R camera module. It is identified by Dell part number RT4GY and alternate numbers GDA10_EDP_CABLE_NTS and DC02C00TC00.

Signal integrity under daily open-close cycles

The flat ribbon construction maintains a stable video link through repeated hinge movement during normal classroom or office use. Because the cable is a direct OEM match, pin-out and length correspond exactly to the original factory assembly, avoiding intermittent flicker or artefacts that can appear with generic substitutes.

Passive component with no power or cooling needs

The cable draws no power of its own and adds no audible noise to the system. Its only thermal contribution is the minimal heat conducted from adjacent components, which remains within the normal operating envelope of the Chromebook chassis. Installation simply routes the ribbon through the existing hinge channel and reconnects the ZIF sockets.

Questions about this item

Does the 11.6-inch ribbon cable generate any heat or noise during continuous daily use?

The cable is a passive flex assembly with no active electronics, so it produces no heat and makes no sound while the Chromebook runs all day.

Which existing components must already be present in the laptop for this RT4GY cable to function?

You need a Dell Chromebook 3100, 3110 or 3120 non-touch laptop chassis, a matching 11.6-inch non-touch LCD panel and the V976R webcam module installed.

Will this cable fit the older 2-in-1 version of the Chromebook 3100 that I still have?

No, the RT4GY part is designed only for the laptop (clamshell) models 3100, 3110 and 3120 with non-touch screens and the V976R camera; it does not fit the 2-in-1 variant.
