Replacement system board with on-board Intel Core i7-10510U at 1.8 GHz and 8 GB memory for Dell Inspiron 5391 and Vostro 5391 laptops with discrete graphics
This is a genuine Dell OEM motherboard for the Inspiron 5391 and Vostro 5391 laptops. It carries the Dell part number 13PV8 and includes an on-board Intel Core i7-10510U processor. The board is built specifically for models equipped with discrete Nvidia graphics.
The integrated i7-10510U quad-core CPU runs at a base frequency of 1.8GHz within a low-power envelope suited to ultraportable chassis. On-board memory is fixed at 8GB, removing separate SO-DIMM slots and their associated power draw. Fan behaviour and acoustic output are governed by the original laptop cooling assembly.
Under continuous workloads the soldered CPU and memory maintain stable operation within the thermal limits of the host chassis. The discrete graphics variant ensures the board routes GPU output through the dedicated Nvidia chip rather than integrated graphics. Compatibility is limited to the listed 5391 models with discrete graphics.

Remove the battery first, then disconnect the display cable, cooling assembly, and all ribbon cables before unscrewing the board; the step most people miss is forgetting to transfer the discrete GPU thermal pad onto the new board, which causes overheating.
The on-board 8GB memory cannot be upgraded, so if capacity becomes insufficient the whole board must be replaced; the CMOS battery on the board will also need replacement every few years to keep BIOS settings.
The soldered Intel Core i7-10510U at 1.8GHz and fixed 8GB RAM hit thermal and memory capacity ceilings quickly during prolonged heavy workloads, causing throttling or swap-file slowdowns.
