Dell 14 DC14250 AI laptop

The Dell 14 DC14250 is a new 14.0 inch laptop with a 1920x1200 IPS display, Intel Core Ultra 7 150U processor, 16GB DDR5 memory and a 512GB 2230 PCIe NVMe SSD. It ships with Windows 11 Pro, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.4 and a webcam. A wireless mouse is included in the box.

Suits mobile professionals needing long battery life

This ultraportable suits professionals who need a light 3.5lb chassis, 54 WHr battery and 65W charger for all-day work away from a desk. The integrated Intel Graphics and 60Hz panel are not built for gaming, 3D rendering or colour-critical creative work. Buyers who want a dedicated GPU or a high-refresh screen should look elsewhere.

16GB DDR5 SO-DIMM is soldered and not upgradeable

The single most important specification is that the 16GB DDR5 SO-DIMM memory is fixed and cannot be expanded after purchase. If your workflow regularly exceeds 16GB of RAM — such as large virtual machines, heavy multitasking or memory-hungry datasets — this laptop will hit a hard ceiling. Choose a model with user-accessible slots if you need more memory headroom.

What is the correct order to seat the 2230 PCIe NVMe SSD and the DDR5 SO-DIMM during the upgrade?
