Dell 15 Laptop i7-1355U 32GB 2TB

This Dell 15 laptop targets professionals and students who need a portable Windows 11 machine with ample memory and storage. The 13th Gen Intel Core i7-1355U processor delivers 10 cores and 12 threads for responsive multitasking. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics handles everyday visual tasks and external displays via HDMI 1.4. A backlit keyboard and SD card reader support productivity on the move.

Thermals noise and power in normal use

The slim chassis measures 14.11 x 9.28 x 0.75 inches and weighs 3.96 pounds, limiting cooling capacity under sustained loads. Office workloads and web browsing run quietly with minimal fan activity. Heavier tasks engage the cooling system, producing audible airflow. The 1.20 GHz base frequency and 5.0 GHz turbo balance performance with the thermal envelope of this ultraportable design.

Integrated graphics defines suitability

Intel UHD Graphics shares system memory and suits document work, streaming and light creative applications. It cannot handle modern gaming, 3D rendering or GPU-accelerated compute workloads. Buyers who need discrete graphics performance should choose a different device. The 32GB DDR4 memory and 2TB PCIe SSD provide generous headroom for the tasks this graphics solution supports.

Questions about this item

How do I install a second SSD in the Dell 15, and which step do people often miss?

The 2 TB PCIe SSD occupies the only M.2 slot, so adding another drive requires removing it first; the step people miss is cloning the Windows 11 Home installation before swapping drives.

What maintenance will the 32 GB DDR4 memory and the 2 TB PCIe SSD need over time?

The memory is soldered and not upgradeable; the SSD has no moving parts, so only firmware updates via Windows Update are required to maintain performance.

At what point does the Intel UHD Graphics become the bottleneck during sustained workloads?

The integrated GPU shares system memory, so extended 1080p rendering or video encoding hits thermal limits on the 15.6 inch chassis before the 10-core i7-1355U reaches its 5.0 GHz turbo ceiling.
