ThinkPad X240 ultrabook for business users

The Lenovo ThinkPad X240 is a 12.5" business ultrabook built for professionals who need a lightweight, durable machine running Windows 7 Professional. It combines an Intel Core i7-4600U processor with 8GB of DDR3 memory and a 2TB solid state drive. A carbon fibre roll cage and MIL-SPEC testing support its ultradurable design.

Sustained productivity with Intel Core i7-4600U

The dual-core Intel Core i7-4600U processor reaches up to 3.3 GHz, providing consistent performance for multitasking and office applications over long sessions. Eight gigabytes of DDR3 RAM keeps multiple programmes responsive without excessive paging. The 2TB SSD maintains fast data access even when the drive fills up.

1366 x 768 HD IPS display limits sharpness

The 12.5-inch HD IPS panel resolves at 1366 x 768, which is adequate for standard business tasks but cannot render fine detail or fit wide spreadsheets without scrolling. Buyers who need a higher pixel density for design work or multi-window coding should consider a different model. The anti-glare IPS coating does provide wide viewing angles.
