Questions about this item

Should I pick the 44W model or the 85W version listed in the specs?

The 44W unit is the correct replacement for Surface Pro 3 through 7, Surface Go, Surface Book and Surface Laptop 1 to 3; the 85W figure belongs to a different Dell A1800 variant and will not fit those devices.

What does the 15V 2.58A output actually deliver to my Surface?

It supplies 44 watts, matching the original charger so the tablet or laptop charges at the normal rate while you work.

How does the magnetic connector and USB‑A port work together?

The magnetic tip snaps onto the Surface charging port, and the extra USB‑A port provides 5V 1A to charge a phone or accessory at the same time.
