Enterprise SSD with 1.92 TB capacity and 12 Gbps SAS interface for Dell PowerEdge servers
This Dell 2WVYG solid-state drive delivers 1.92 TB of capacity over a 12 Gbps SAS interface. It uses mixed-use TLC flash in a 2.5-inch form factor and is validated for a long list of PowerEdge servers and storage arrays. The drive arrives new with updated firmware.
It fits 2.5-inch bays in compatible PowerEdge rack, tower, modular and storage platforms such as the R640, R740, R750, MX740c and MD1420. It is not for systems that lack a 12 Gbps SAS backplane or that require a different physical drive size.
The drive connects through a 12 Gbps SAS link, so the host controller and backplane must support that speed and protocol. Without a SAS infrastructure the drive cannot operate.

Yes, the 2.5 inch drive fits standard 2.5 inch hot-swap bays in the PowerEdge R740 and other listed Dell servers.
Slide the drive into the hot-swap bay until the carrier clicks, then verify the SAS link shows 12Gbps in the controller BIOS.
Mixed-use TLC endurance suits balanced workloads; monitor SMART wear indicators and replace when the media-wear metric approaches the rated limit.
