130W adapter for Dell notebooks

This 130-watt AC adapter supplies power to compatible Dell laptops while charging the battery. A six-foot power cord with a three-prong plug is included in the package. The unit is designed for notebook and mobile workstation use.

Travel users gain a spare; fixed-desk users do not

A second adapter lets travelers keep one unit at home and another in a bag without unplugging cables each time. Buyers who never move their notebook between locations gain no practical benefit from a duplicate charger.

130-watt output rating

The adapter delivers a maximum of 130 watts to the supported Dell models listed in the compatibility data. Systems that require a higher wattage supply will not operate correctly with this unit.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 492-BBYH 130W adapter on my Dell G7 15 7588, and what step do people often miss?

Plug the barrel connector firmly into the laptop's power port until it clicks, connect the 3-prong plug to a grounded wall outlet, then attach the 6 ft cord to the adapter brick; the step users miss is not seating the barrel plug fully, which prevents charging.

What maintenance or replacement will the 492-BBYH adapter need over time?

The 6 ft power cord and 3-prong plug are the only serviceable parts; if the cord frays or the plug bends, replace the entire 130W unit as the brick itself has no user-replaceable components.

What limit appears first when the 492-BBYH adapter runs continuously at full load?

The 130W maximum output power is the first limit; sustained draw at that level will trigger thermal protection and shut the adapter down until it cools.
