Dual-port 10 Gb SFP+ PCIe adapter for PowerEdge R220, R320 and R330 servers
This Dell QLogic 57810 network card adds two 10Gbps SFP+ ports to a compatible server. It uses a PCI Express host interface and supports optical fiber media for high-speed data centre connectivity. The plug-in card form factor fits full-height expansion slots in select PowerEdge systems.
The single specification that determines fit is the PCI Express host interface combined with the dual SFP+ port layout. Only servers listed in the compatibility matrix — such as PowerEdge R220, R320 and R330 — can accept this adapter. Buyers needing a different slot type or port count must choose another card.
Installation consists of seating the full-height card into an available PCI Express slot and attaching SFP+ transceivers or direct-attach cables. The main issue arises when the server model is not on the supported list, which prevents the adapter from being recognised or functioning correctly.
