  • .6 inch height matches MD1120 drive slots

500 GB SAS laptop drive for server arrays

This 2.5" 7200 rpm SAS hard drive delivers 500 GB of storage for Dell PowerEdge and PowerVault MD1120 systems. It uses a 6Gb/s SAS interface and a standard .6" height to fit compatible 2.5" bays. The drive is sold in refurbished condition for server maintenance and capacity expansion.

Sustained throughput on 7200 rpm SAS

The 7200 rpm spindle speed supports consistent sequential transfers across the 6Gb/s SAS link during extended workloads. Mechanical latency remains stable because the motor maintains constant rotation without the thermal throttling seen in faster enterprise models. Sequential performance scales with the interface bandwidth rather than bursting to a cache limit.

Thermals and power in a .6" form factor

The slim .6" height allows the drive to operate within typical server backplane airflow without requiring additional cooling. Power draw stays within the 2.5" SAS specification so existing power budgets for PowerEdge 2970, M605, M805, M905, R900 and R905 chassis are not exceeded. Acoustic output is low enough for rack environments.
