Pro Max 18 Mobile Workstation

The Dell Pro Max 18 is an 18.0 inch mobile workstation built around an Intel Core Ultra 7 265HX processor with AI Boost NPU. It ships with Windows 11 Pro and targets professionals who need dedicated graphics and a large QHD+ display in a single chassis. The 120 Hz LCD panel runs at 2560 x 1600 resolution for detailed visual work.

Build Integration

The system includes 32GB DDR5 memory and a 1TB SSD so no immediate storage or RAM upgrades are required. Connectivity covers 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 7, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, one Thunderbolt 4 port, two Thunderbolt 5 ports, one HDMI output and an 8 megapixel webcam. The Magnetite chassis measures 15.8 by 11 by 1.25 inches and weighs 7.17 lb.

Sustained Load Behaviour

An NVIDIA RTX PRO 2000 GPU with 8GB GDDR7 video memory handles professional 3D and compute tasks without relying on integrated graphics. The dedicated card maintains stable output during extended rendering or simulation sessions while the Core Ultra 7 265HX reaches 5.30 GHz turbo frequency when thermal headroom allows. Active cooling manages heat across the 18250 platform during continuous workloads.

Questions about this item

How long can the Core Ultra 7 265HX sustain its 5.30 GHz turbo before thermal limits engage?

The processor reaches 5.30 GHz turbo under load; sustained clocks depend on the cooling solution built into the 18.0 inch chassis.

What fan noise and surface temperatures should I expect when the RTX PRO 2000 and CPU run flat-out all day?

The 120 Hz LCD panel and 7.17 lb chassis dissipate heat from the 8 GB GDDR7 GPU and 32 GB DDR5 memory during extended sessions.

Which docks or peripherals must I already own to use the three Thunderbolt ports and 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet?

The laptop provides two Thunderbolt 5 ports, one Thunderbolt 4 port, and one RJ-45 jack; compatible Thunderbolt cables or docks are required to use them.
