Dell Precision T7600 1300W PSU

This 1300 watt power supply is built for the Dell Precision T7600 workstation desktop. It delivers the rated output required by high-end configurations of that platform. The unit carries 80 Plus Gold certification for energy-efficient operation. It is a direct-fit replacement for the original Dell-IMSourcing DS module.

Replaces factory T7600 power supply

The module replaces the original Dell-IMSourcing DS power supply installed in the Precision T7600. Swapping it restores full rated output when the factory unit has failed or when a lower-wattage supply limits component upgrades. The jump is worth it when the workstation needs the full 1300 watt capacity for demanding workloads.

Proprietary Dell workstation interface

The power supply uses the proprietary connector and form factor defined for the Precision T7600 chassis. It will not fit standard ATX cases or motherboards without modification. The 80 Plus Gold rating applies only within the Dell workstation environment for which the unit was designed.

Questions about this item

Does the 1300 W unit use the standard Precision T7600 power connector and chassis mounting points?

Yes, it is built to the Dell Precision T7600 form factor so the original connector and screw locations line up without adapters.

What is the correct order for seating the supply and locking the retention lever during installation?

Slide the unit fully into the bay until the connector seats, then swing the retention lever down until it clicks; reversing the order leaves the connector partially mated.

Which internal component typically reaches end-of-life first on an 80 Plus Gold 1300 W supply?

The electrolytic capacitors on the primary side are the usual wear item; expect to replace the whole supply when hold-up time drops below spec.
