Business desktop for high-core workloads

The Dell OptiPlex 7010 tower is built around a 24-core Intel Core i9-14900KS processor that reaches 6.2GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 32GB of DDR4 memory at 3200MHz and a 4TB NVMe SSD. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed, and the chassis includes a DVD±R/RW drive, wired keyboard and wired mouse.

Thermals and power in daily use

The system relies on a 180W power supply to feed the CPU and integrated Intel UHD Graphics. Tool-less chassis access allows straightforward cleaning or fan maintenance to sustain airflow. Gigabit Ethernet and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity add minimal thermal load during typical office tasks.

Build integration and expansion

Two memory slots remain free for up to 64GB total DDR4 capacity. The tower form factor provides internal bays for additional storage drives. HDMI and DisplayPort outputs drive external displays without a discrete graphics card. The compact footprint suits standard desk deployments while retaining serviceability.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 32GB DDR4 memory and what step is often missed?

The system ships with 32GB DDR4 at 3200MHz already installed. If adding modules later, match DDR4 3200MHz and do not exceed the 64GB maximum.

What maintenance will the 180W power supply need over time?

Keep the tool-less chassis vents clear of dust so the 180W supply stays cool; no user-serviceable parts inside.

What limit appears first when the Core i9-14900KS runs sustained loads?

The 180W power supply caps total system draw, so the 24-core processor cannot hold its 6.2GHz turbo indefinitely.
