Questions about this item

How do I install the 2.5-inch 300Gb drive with tray into a PowerVault server, and what step is often missed?

Slide the tray into the drive bay until the latch clicks, then secure the screw; the step often missed is tightening that screw, which keeps the 64Mb buffer drive firmly seated during vibration.

What maintenance or replacement will the 10000Rpm 745Gc drive need later?

Plan to replace the drive after its rated service life or if SMART errors appear; no field-serviceable parts exist inside the sealed 5.1 unit, so a full swap is the only later action.
