Dell 960 GB SATA enterprise SSD

This Dell 960 GB SATA solid-state drive is built for mixed-use workloads in PowerEdge servers. It uses a 2.5 inch 7 mm form factor and a 6 Gbps SATA interface to deliver consistent read and write performance for database, virtualization and logging tasks.

Suited for PowerEdge upgrades and replacements

The drive is validated for a wide range of PowerEdge rack, tower and modular platforms including R640, R740, R740xd2, R750, R760, MX740C, MX750C and T550 models. It is not for systems that need a different physical height or a non-SATA interface.

6 Gbps SATA interface determines compatibility

The single specification that decides fit is the 6 Gbps SATA connection; the server backplane or drive bay must support this exact interface and the 7 mm 2.5 inch form factor for the drive to operate correctly.
