Dell 12V 36W adapter with eight tips
This Dell power adapter delivers 12 volts at up to 3 amps for a maximum of 36 watts. It accepts AC input from 100 to 240 volts at 50 or 60 hertz. Eight interchangeable DC tips are included, covering sizes such as 5.5 by 2.5 millimetres, 6.3 by 3.0 millimetres and a dedicated LED terminal connector. The unit is certified to UL, CE and FCC standards.
Ideal for low-power DC devices needing 12 volts
The adapter suits LED strip lights, CCTV cameras, DVRs, Bluetooth speakers, routers, webcams and similar equipment that draw 3 amps or less. Centre-positive polarity is required. It is not for devices that need more than 36 watts, a different voltage such as 9 or 5 volts, or a proprietary connector not among the eight supplied tips.
Output limited to 3 amps at 12 volts
The single deciding specification is the 12 volt 3 amp maximum output. Any device requiring more than 3000 milliamps at 12 volts, or any other voltage, cannot use this adapter. Check the device label for its exact voltage and current before connecting.
