Genuine Dell OEM replacement cable

This is a genuine Dell OEM ribbon cable for Alienware 17 R4 and 17 R5 laptops with 17.3" FHD screens and Tobii Eye Tracker. It carries Dell part number WXKDC and matches the BAP20-FHD-EDP-CABL-TB reference. You will receive exactly what is pictured.

FHD resolution and Tobii requirement

The cable supports 1920 x 1080 FHD panels and integrates the Tobii Eye Tracker connection. It is not compatible with 17-R4 models that lack the Tobii module or use a different screen resolution. Match your part number before ordering to avoid fitment issues.

Direct laptop installation

Installation requires opening the laptop chassis and routing the flat ribbon through the hinge assembly. The delicate connectors and tight routing path make misalignment the most common issue. Builders who need a cable for non-Tobii or non-FHD configurations cannot use this part.

Questions about this item

Does the WXKDC ribbon cable fit my Alienware 17 R4 with the 17.3 inch FHD 1920 x 1080 screen and Tobii Eye Tracker?

Yes, this genuine Dell OEM cable is built for Alienware 17 R4 and 17 R5 models that have the 17.3 inch FHD panel and the Tobii Eye Tracker installed.

What does the FHD 1920 x 1080 resolution mean for the display signal this cable carries?

It carries the full 1920 by 1080 pixel signal from the motherboard to the 17.3 inch LCD, so the panel receives every line of the native FHD image.

Which connector standard does the WXKDC cable use and what does it limit?

The cable uses the embedded DisplayPort interface built into the Alienware 17 R4 and 17 R5, limiting it to those models with the matching FHD Tobii display assembly.
