Ready for daily work

The Dell DC15250 is a 15.6 inch laptop with a Full HD touchscreen and Windows 11 Pro in S mode. It uses an Intel Core i7-1355U processor with ten cores and a 5GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 32GB of DDR4 memory and a 1TB NVMe solid state drive for fast storage access.

Sustained workload behaviour

Adaptive thermals adjust power and fan curves automatically whether the notebook sits on a desk or on your lap. The ten-core processor maintains its 1.7GHz base clock and can reach 5GHz turbo for short bursts before thermal limits engage. Integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics share system memory, so extended 3D tasks will throttle sooner than discrete solutions.

Thermals, noise and power

The chassis uses 30% post-consumer recycled plastic in the palmrest and 50% in the bottom cover to help dissipate heat. Fan speed ramps up only when core temperatures rise under heavy load, staying quiet during typical office work. Power draw scales with the U-series processor design, drawing less energy than higher-wattage mobile chips during normal productivity tasks.

Questions about this item

Does the 10-core i7-1355U stay cool and quiet during all-day workloads?

The laptop uses adaptive thermals that adjust power and fan behaviour to keep the system running smoothly whether it sits on a desk or on your lap.

What must I already own to use the HDMI port on this DC15250?

An external monitor or TV with an HDMI input and a standard HDMI cable are required to extend or mirror the 15.6-inch FHD touchscreen.

Can I keep using my older DDR4 SODIMM modules with the 32 GB already installed?

The system ships with 32 GB of DDR4 memory; any further upgrade depends on the number of free slots, which is not confirmed in the specifications.
