Mobile Workstation for CAD and Simulation

The Dell Precision 7750 is a 17.3-inch mobile workstation built around a six-core Intel Core i7-10850H processor with vPro. It ships with 32GB of DDR4 memory and a 1TB solid-state drive. The NVIDIA Quadro RTX 3000 graphics coprocessor targets professional 3D and compute workloads. Windows 10 Professional is pre-installed on this refurbished unit.

Sustained Load Behaviour with 45W Processor

The 45W Core i7-10850H runs at a 2.7GHz base frequency and can reach 5.1GHz turbo for short bursts. Under continuous multi-threaded loads the cooling system manages thermal output to maintain stable clocks. DDR4 memory operates at 2400MHz according to the system specification. Thunderbolt 3 ports provide 40Gbps bandwidth for external GPU enclosures or high-speed storage arrays.

Thermals Noise and Power Draw in Daily Use

The 17.3-inch chassis houses a cooling solution designed for the 45W processor and discrete Quadro graphics. Fan noise remains moderate during typical office and light CAD tasks. Power is supplied by a 240W adapter connected via the barrel jack. The 1920 x 1080 non-touch display draws minimal power compared to higher-resolution panels. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 controllers operate efficiently during wireless workflows.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the Core i7-10850H 45W processor get during sustained workloads?

The Intel Core i7-10850H is a 45W 6-core processor with turbo up to 5.1GHz; sustained loads will activate the internal cooling fans, producing audible airflow and warm surface temperatures near the vents.

Which cables or peripherals must I already own to use the Thunderbolt 3 and display outputs?

You need Thunderbolt 3 or USB-C cables for the two Type-C ports, an HDMI 2.0 cable for the HDMI port, and a Mini DisplayPort 1.4 cable for the Mini DisplayPort; RJ-45 requires a standard Ethernet cable.

Will my older USB 3.0 Type-A devices work with the USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports?

Yes, the three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports are backward compatible with USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 Type-A devices, so existing mice, keyboards and drives will function normally.
