675 W Redundant Supply for PowerEdge 1800

This new Dell FD732 unit delivers 675 watts of redundant power for the PowerEdge 1800 server. It accepts 110 V AC and 220 V AC input, allowing deployment in different regions. The redundant design keeps the server running if one module fails. It is built for enterprise environments that require continuous uptime.

Hot-Swap Module for Mission-Critical Uptime

The supply slides into the PowerEdge 1800 chassis and connects to the system’s redundant power backplane, so no extra cabling is required. It frees the administrator from scheduling downtime to replace a failed unit because the module is hot-swappable. Builders who need a non-redundant or higher-wattage unit for a different chassis cannot use this part.

Questions about this item

Will the 675 W FD732 hit its maximum power limit before other components do under sustained load?

The FD732 is rated for 675 W maximum output; sustained draw at that level is the first ceiling the supply itself will reach.

How much heat and fan noise should I expect when the FD732 runs continuously in a PowerEdge 1800?

The unit accepts 110 V or 220 V AC input and delivers up to 675 W; continuous operation will produce heat proportional to load, and the internal fan speed ramps with temperature.
