A 10Gb Ethernet SFP+ SR transceiver operating at 850nm wavelength with hot-plug capability and 3.3V power
This Dell Ftlx8571D3Bcl-Fc module delivers 10Gb Ethernet connectivity over multimode fibre using an 850nm wavelength. The hot-pluggable SFP+ form factor operates at 3.3V and is designed for compatible Dell networking switches. It provides a short-range optical link for high-speed data centre or campus deployments.
This transceiver upgrades connections previously limited to 1Gb fibre or copper uplinks where 10Gb throughput is now required. The jump is worthwhile when switch ports and cabling infrastructure already support 10Gb SFP+ SR optics. It is not suited for single-mode fibre runs or longer-distance campus links beyond the SR range.
