Genuine Dell OEM replacement part

This is a genuine Dell original LCD video ribbon cable built for Dell G Series laptops. It matches Dell part number JDJ51 and the alternate numbers Selek 15 MLK EDP 60HZ Cable and 450.0K701.0011. The cable is a direct swap for the factory-fitted link between the motherboard and the 15.6 inch panel.

Thermals noise and power draw

As a passive ribbon interconnect the cable generates no heat and draws no power of its own. It simply carries the video signal from the system board to the display without adding audible noise or thermal load to the chassis.

Build quality and daily fit

The flat flexible ribbon is manufactured to Dell OEM tolerances so the connector pitch and length align with the hinges on the G5 5500 G5 5505 and G3 3500 models equipped with the optional 60Hz screen. Correct routing through the hinge channel prevents pinching during repeated lid opening and closing.

Questions about this item

How do I route the JDJ51 ribbon cable through the hinge on a G5 5500 without pinching it?

Feed the flat cable along the factory channel, keep the gold contacts facing the panel, and avoid folding it tighter than the original bend radius.

When should I consider replacing the 60 Hz LCD video cable on my G3 3500?

Replace it if the screen flickers, shows vertical lines, or loses signal when the lid moves past the halfway point.

What is the first sign this 15.6" ribbon cable is failing under daily open-close cycles?

Intermittent video drop-outs at specific hinge angles appear before a complete loss of picture.
