Dell G16 7620 gaming laptop

The Dell G16 7620 is a 16.0 inch QHD+ gaming laptop powered by an Intel Core i9-12900H processor with 14 cores and 5.0 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 32GB memory, a 1TB SSD and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU with 8GB GDDR6. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed on this new gray system from 2022.

Suits high-refresh competitive play

The 165Hz QHD+ panel and RTX 3070 graphics suit gamers who want smooth 2560 x 1600 performance in modern titles. The 14-core CPU and 32GB RAM handle streaming, editing and demanding workloads. Buyers who need a touchscreen or a smaller ultraportable chassis should look elsewhere.

Verify your display and power expectations

Confirm that a 16.0 inch non-touch 16:10 screen fits your workspace and bag. The 26.9 mm height and 2.44 kg weight make it thicker and heavier than thin-and-light models. Ensure the fixed 32GB memory and single 1TB SSD meet your capacity needs before ordering.

Questions about this item

What power adapter is required to run the i9-12900H and RTX 3070 at full load?

The laptop ships with its own power adapter rated for the 14-core CPU and discrete GPU; no separate purchase is needed.

Will my existing 60 Hz external monitor limit the 165 Hz QHD+ panel when I use both screens?

Each display runs at its own native refresh rate, so the internal 165 Hz panel stays at 165 Hz while the external monitor operates at 60 Hz.

How can I confirm the RTX 3070 is actually driving games instead of the integrated graphics?

Open the NVIDIA control panel or Task Manager GPU tab while a game runs; the RTX 3070 should show 3D activity and the 8 GB GDDR6 memory in use.
