Dell HOUHUI-2405 24V 5A Power Adapter

This Dell HOUHUI-2405 adapter converts 100-240V AC input to a regulated 24V DC output at up to 5A. It delivers a maximum of 120W through a 5.5mm x 2.1mm barrel connector. The unit is UL, FCC and CE listed for indoor use.

Suits devices needing 24V DC up to 5A.

It powers compatible LED strips, CCTV cameras, routers, monitors and similar 24V equipment drawing less than 120W. Buyers whose hardware requires more than 5A or a different voltage must select another supply.

Deciding spec: 5.5mm x 2.1mm barrel plug

The fixed DC plug measures 5.5mm outer diameter by 2.1mm inner diameter. Only devices with a matching centre-positive barrel jack can connect directly without an adapter cable.

Questions about this item

Will the 120 W output actually run a 24 V monitor and LED strip at the same time?

The adapter delivers up to 120 W at 24 V with a 5 A limit, so any combination of devices that stays below 5 A total will run reliably.

Does the 5.5 x 2.1 mm barrel plug lock in place or just push on?

The connector is a standard 5.5 mm outer by 2.1 mm inner barrel plug that friction-fits; it does not have a locking collar.

How much clearance do I need behind the unit for the cords?

The brick measures 14.33 in wide, 12.83 in high and 9.06 in deep, plus 1.2 m cables on both AC and DC sides.
