Ready-to-use 14-inch laptop

The Dell Inspiron 14 3000 3493 ships with Windows 10 Home installed and an Intel Core i5-1035G4 processor running at a base frequency of 1.10GHz. It includes 8GB of DDR4 memory at 2666MHz and a 128GB NVMe solid-state drive. This configuration suits students or office workers who need a lightweight machine for everyday productivity without extra setup.

Cooling and power profile

The integrated Intel UHD Graphics shares system memory and keeps thermal output modest during typical document editing or video playback. Fan noise stays low under light workloads because the 10th Generation Core i5 operates within a constrained power envelope. The 14.0-inch FHD anti-glare display draws minimal power, helping battery life during unplugged sessions.

Build and connectivity notes

The chassis uses a black finish and a non-touch WVA panel with 1920 x 1080 resolution for clear viewing in bright rooms. A single M.2 slot holds the included NVMe drive, so storage expansion requires replacing the module rather than adding a second drive. Buyers who want more storage or additional high-speed ports should verify the available I/O before purchase.

Questions about this item

How do I install the M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD and what step is often missed?

Remove the base cover, insert the M.2 PCIe NVMe drive into the slot at a 30-degree angle, secure it with the screw, then initialise the new volume in Disk Management before cloning or installing Windows.

Which component will need replacement first and how do I do it?

The 128GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD will fill up quickly; replace it by opening the base cover, swapping the drive, and reinstalling Windows 10 Home from a USB installer.

What hardware limit appears first during a long video-encoding session?

The Intel UHD Graphics shares the 8GB DDR4 system memory and reaches its thermal ceiling before the 1.10GHz Core i5-1035G4 can sustain its 3.7GHz boost.
