Purpose & Audience

The Dell Inspiron 15 3520 is a 15.6-inch touchscreen laptop built for office work, study and everyday multitasking. Its 10-core Intel Core i5-1235U processor and 32GB DDR4 memory handle documents, web apps and video calls smoothly. The 512GB PCIe SSD provides fast boot and load times for a responsive Windows 11 Pro experience.

Interface Limits

The integrated Intel UHD Graphics shares system memory and suits 2D tasks, streaming and light creative work; it is not intended for modern 3D titles or heavy GPU compute. The HDMI 1.4b output supports one external display at up to 1920 x 1080 resolution. Wireless connectivity uses 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for standard peripheral and network links.

Build & Connectors

The carbon-black chassis measures 14.11 x 9.27 x .83 inches and weighs 3.65 lbs, making it practical for daily carry. Ports include two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, one USB 2.0 Type-A, an SD card reader and a headset jack for wired audio. The anti-glare LED-backlit touchscreen and 720p webcam support collaborative sessions, while the non-backlit keyboard keeps the layout simple.

Questions about this item

How do I choose between the 32 GB DDR4 memory and 512 GB PCIe SSD capacities?

This configuration ships with both 32 GB DDR4 system memory and a 512 GB PCIe SSD already installed, so there is no capacity choice to make at purchase.

What does the 4.4 GHz turbo frequency mean in everyday use?

The i5-1235U can boost up to 4.4 GHz on demanding tasks, giving short bursts of higher speed for snappy application launches and multitasking before returning to its 1.3 GHz base.

What does the HDMI 1.4b port limit in practice?

HDMI 1.4b carries FHD 1920 x 1080 output to an external display, matching the built-in screen resolution without requiring adapters.
