Built for business workloads

The Dell Inspiron 15 runs Windows 11 Pro on a 13th Gen Intel Core i7-1355U with 10 cores and 12 threads, reaching 5 GHz turbo. 16 GB DDR4 memory and a 2 TB PCIe NVMe SSD give ample space for multitasking and large project files. The 15.6 inch 1920 x 1080 touchscreen adds direct input for presentations and quick edits.

Thermals and power in daily use

A 65 W power adapter charges the 3-cell 41 WHr battery while the integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics keep heat output modest during office applications and video playback. The chassis stays quiet under typical document and browser loads, with fan noise only rising during sustained heavy compute tasks.

Ports and connectivity ready to work

USB 3.2 Type-C, USB 3.0 Type-A, USB 2.0, HDMI and an SD card reader cover peripherals and external displays without dongles. WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 provide stable wireless links for meetings and file transfers, while the built-in webcam and combo audio jack handle calls out of the box.

Questions about this item

How do I upgrade the memory and which slot do people forget to check?

The laptop uses 16GB DDR4 SO-DIMM; verify the single accessible slot before buying a module, as the second slot may be soldered or absent.

Which component will likely need replacement first during the laptop's life?

The 3-Cell 41 WHr battery will degrade before the 2TB PCIe NVMe SSD or the soldered DDR4 memory.

What thermal limit appears first when the i7-1355U runs at 5 GHz for extended periods?

The 65W PSU and 41 WHr battery cannot sustain 5 GHz turbo on all 10 cores; the CPU throttles to stay within the 65W power envelope.
