Target audience

The Dell Inspiron 3520 15 is a new 15.6 inch laptop built for everyday productivity and media consumption. It suits students, office workers and home users who want a responsive Windows 11 Pro machine with a touchscreen. The quad-core Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor reaches 4.2 GHz turbo for snappy multitasking. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics handles standard video and light creative tasks.

Capacity and headroom

16 GB of DDR4 memory and a 1 TB PCIe solid-state drive provide ample space for documents, applications and media libraries. The system boots quickly and keeps multiple browser tabs and office programs open without slowdown. Demanding games, heavy video editing or large 3D workloads will exceed the integrated graphics capability and the 15 watt processor envelope.

Thermals noise and power

The slim 0.83 inch chassis weighs 3.82 pounds and relies on passive cooling surfaces plus a single internal fan. During typical office work and streaming the laptop remains quiet and surface temperatures stay comfortable. Sustained heavy loads cause the fan to spin up audibly and the keyboard deck warms noticeably. Battery life varies with screen brightness and workload intensity.

Questions about this item

Will the 15.6" FHD touchscreen and Intel UHD Graphics drive an older 1080p monitor over the HDMI port?

Yes, the HDMI output supports external displays up to 1920 x 1080 resolution, so your existing 1080p monitor will work without scaling issues.

How can I confirm the Intel Core i5-1135G7 is hitting its 4.2 GHz turbo frequency under load?

Open Task Manager's Performance tab or a tool like HWMonitor while running a demanding task; the CPU clock should show speeds approaching 4.20 GHz on active cores.

Does the box include a USB-C charger or do I need to buy a separate dock for legacy USB-A peripherals?

The laptop ships with its standard barrel-type power adapter; the three USB-A ports (two 3.2, one 2.0) connect legacy peripherals directly, no dock required.
