The Dell Inspiron 3520 15 is a 15.6 inch FHD touchscreen laptop powered by a 12th Gen Intel Core i5-1235U processor with 10 cores and a 4.4 GHz turbo frequency. It comes with 32GB DDR4 memory and a 1TB PCIe SSD running Windows 11 Pro with an Office 2024 license. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics handle the display output.

Suits office workers and students needing touch

This configuration suits users who want a responsive touchscreen for productivity, multitasking with 32GB RAM and fast 1TB solid-state storage. Buyers who need a discrete GPU for gaming, 3D rendering or video encoding should look elsewhere. The lack of a backlit keyboard and fingerprint reader may also disappoint those expecting premium security or low-light typing features.

12th Gen Intel Core i5-1235U

The single specification that decides fit is the 12th Gen Intel Core i5-1235U processor delivering 10 cores, 12 threads and a 4.4 GHz maximum turbo frequency paired with Intel UHD Graphics. This defines the performance ceiling for everyday workloads and determines whether the integrated graphics meet your application requirements.

Questions about this item

How does the 4.4 GHz turbo frequency behave when the laptop is running typical workloads?

The processor can reach 4.4 GHz on active cores for short bursts, but sustained speeds depend on the cooling system and power limits set by the chassis.

What does the HDMI 1.4b port allow for external displays?

The HDMI 1.4b output supports Full HD resolution at standard refresh rates and can carry audio to a monitor or TV.

Will the 14.11 x 9.27 x 0.83 inch chassis fit in a standard 15.6 inch laptop sleeve?

Yes, those dimensions match a typical 15.6 inch form factor, so it fits sleeves and bags sized for that screen class.
