Ready-to-work laptop for office teams

The Inspiron 3520 15 ships with Windows 11 Pro and an Office 2024 licence already activated, so it is productive the moment it is unboxed. A 15.6 inch FHD panel at 1920 x 1080 gives sharp text for documents and video calls. The Intel Core i7-1255U with 10 cores and 12 threads runs at 1.2 GHz base and reaches 4.7 GHz turbo for snappy multitasking.

Connectivity and media bundle

Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth handle wireless peripherals and network shares without extra dongles. Ports include two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, one USB 2.0 Type-A, HDMI 1.4 for an external display, a headset jack and a multi-format SD card reader for quick photo offload. The integrated 720p webcam and dual-array microphones cover conferencing out of the box.

Capacity for mainstream workloads

32 GB of DDR4 memory keeps dozens of browser tabs, Office apps and background services resident without swapping. The 1 TB PCIe SSD stores large project libraries and media caches while leaving headroom for future growth. Integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics drives the internal panel and one external monitor at 1080p, but it is not suited to 3D rendering, heavy video encoding or modern gaming titles.

Questions about this item

Can the 32 GB DDR4 memory be expanded later?

The 32 GB DDR4 is already installed; no user-accessible slots are described, so expansion is not supported.

Will the Intel Core i7-1255U hit its 4.7 GHz turbo limit during long workloads?

Sustained loads will be limited by the 15 W class cooling; the processor drops toward its 1.2 GHz base once the thermal ceiling is reached.

How loud and hot does the chassis get when the 10-core CPU runs all day?

The slim 0.83-inch chassis and integrated Iris Xe graphics mean fan noise rises noticeably and the base becomes warm to the touch under continuous use.
