ThinkPad X1 Carbon 6th Gen i7-8550U

This 14 inch laptop pairs an Intel Core i7-8550U quad core processor with 8GB of LPDDR3 memory and a 1TB NVMe PCIe SSD. It ships with Windows 10 Pro and a non-touch 1920 x 1080 IPS display. The configuration targets professionals who need a light machine for daily productivity and secure logins via the fingerprint reader.

Sustained performance with 8th gen Intel quad core

The 8th generation Intel Quad Core CPU delivers a 35 percent performance boost over the previous generation while the LPDDR3 memory runs faster. Thunderbolt 3 over USB-C provides up to 40 Gbps bandwidth for data and charging during long sessions. The carbon fiber chassis and magnesium alloy roll-cage dissipate heat without adding bulk.

Military-grade durability and daily connectivity

Tested against 12 military-grade requirements and more than 200 quality checks, the four-layer reinforced carbon fiber build withstands extreme conditions. Four USB ports plus Thunderbolt 3 cover peripherals and external displays. ThinkShutter and discrete TPM protect the webcam and encrypt data for IT-managed environments.
