Form factor and audience

The Dell Inspiron 3520 is a 15.6 inch FHD touchscreen laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-1255U processor with 10 cores and 12 threads. It ships with 64GB of RAM and a 1TB PCIe NVMe solid state drive running Windows 11 Home. The configuration targets home users who want a responsive touch display and enough memory to keep many browser tabs and applications open simultaneously.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Buyers needing a numeric keypad, an HDMI output and an SD card reader in a compact chassis will find the port selection convenient. The integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics and 60Hz panel are adequate for office work and media playback. Shoppers who require a backlit keyboard, wired Ethernet or higher wireless bandwidth than Wi-Fi 5 provides should consider other models.

Deciding specification

The 64GB memory capacity is the single figure that determines whether this unit matches the workload; it removes the usual ceiling on multitasking for this class of laptop.
