Dell Inspiron 3520 laptop for everyday work

This 15.6 inch laptop runs Windows 11 Pro on a 12th Generation Intel Core i5-1235U processor with 10 cores and 12MB L3 cache. It comes with 16GB DDR4 memory and a 1TB SSD for storage. The Full HD LED display shows 1920 x 1080 resolution without touchscreen support. Integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics handles the visual output.

Sustained performance with integrated graphics

The 10-core processor reaches a turbo frequency of 4.40GHz from a 1.30GHz base speed. Under continuous load the integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics shares system memory rather than using dedicated video memory. Thermal management balances the CPU and GPU on the same die so clock speeds adjust to keep temperatures in check. Battery life will vary with screen brightness and workload intensity.

1TB SSD decides storage capacity

The single 1TB solid-state drive holds the operating system, applications and user files with no secondary drive bay mentioned. Buyers who want more storage or a separate data drive cannot expand internally without checking service documentation. Wireless connectivity uses 802.11AC Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2. Ports include two USB 3.2, one USB 2.0 and an HDMI output for external displays.

Will my older USB 2.0 mouse and keyboard work with the USB ports on this 3520?
