Ideal for everyday computing

The Dell Inspiron 3520 is a 15.6 inch laptop built around a 10-core Intel Core i5-1235U processor that reaches 4.4 GHz with Turbo Boost. It ships with 48 GB of memory and a 2 TB SSD, running Windows 11 Home on a 1920 x 1080 non-touch display. Integrated graphics handle the visual output.

Suits office work and study; not for heavy 3D

This configuration fits students, remote workers and families who need responsive multitasking, ample storage and a built-in HD webcam for video calls. Buyers who want more storage than 2 TB or who require a discrete graphics card for rendering or gaming should look at a different system.

Ready to use with WIFI 6 and ExpressCharge

The laptop connects via 802.11ac wireless and supports WIFI 6 for better performance in busy areas. ExpressCharge can restore up to 80 percent battery in 60 minutes, reducing time tethered to an outlet. Rubber feet and hinge bumpers add stability on hard surfaces.

Questions about this item

Does the Inspiron 3520 need any extra hardware to run Windows 11 Home out of the box?

No, the laptop ships with Windows 11 Home pre-installed on the 2TB SSD, 48GB of memory and the Core i5-1235U processor already inside, so it works immediately after the first power-on.

Will my older 802.11ac router limit the WIFI 6 capability mentioned for this laptop?

The laptop supports WIFI 6, but it will fall back to 802.11ac speeds when connected to an older router; you still get a wireless link, just not the newer standard’s higher throughput.

How can I confirm the 10-core CPU is hitting its 4.4 GHz turbo frequency under load?

Open Task Manager’s Performance tab or a tool like Intel XTU while running a demanding task; the clock speed column should show the processor reaching 4.4 GHz on active cores when thermal headroom allows.
