Dell Inspiron 3530 15.6 Inch Touch Laptop

This new Dell Inspiron 3530 is a 15.6 inch FHD touch laptop powered by a 13th Generation Intel Core i7-1355U processor. It comes with 64 GB of DDR4 2666 memory and a 1 TB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD. The system runs Windows 11 Pro in a Carbon Black chassis.

Who This Suits and Who Should Look Elsewhere

The laptop suits professionals who need a large 64 GB memory capacity for heavy multitasking and a 1 TB NVMe SSD for fast local storage. The touch display supports direct interaction. Buyers who require a dedicated graphics processor for 3D rendering or gaming should consider other options. The keyboard is not backlit, so users who work in low light may prefer a different model.

Deciding Specification: 64 GB DDR4 2666 Memory

The single specification that decides fit is the 64 GB DDR4 2666 memory configuration. This capacity is soldered and not user-upgradable, so the purchase must match the workload from day one. Verify that your applications require this amount of RAM before ordering.

Questions about this item

How loud or hot does the 15.6-inch touchscreen laptop get when the Core i7-1355U runs all day with the 45-watt AC adapter?

The 45-watt AC adapter and 3-cell 41Wh battery keep the Intel Core i7-1355U within its 15-watt base power envelope, so fan noise stays low and surface temperatures remain comfortable during typical business workloads.

Which external display cable and memory modules must I already own to add a second screen or upgrade the 64 GB DDR4 2666 RAM?

Use the HDMI port for an external monitor; the memory is soldered DDR4 2666 and cannot be upgraded, so no extra SO-DIMMs are needed or supported.

Will my older USB 2.0 Type-A flash drives and USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C dock work with the ports on this Inspiron 3530?

Yes — one USB 2.0 Type-A, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A and one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port provide full backward compatibility for legacy drives and docks.
