Inspiron 3535 with Ryzen 7 7730U

The Dell Inspiron 3535 is a 15.6 inch business laptop powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 7730U eight-core processor reaching 4.5 GHz. It ships with 32GB of memory and a 1TB PCIe NVMe solid-state drive. A 1920 x 1080 IPS touchscreen and Windows 11 Pro complete the package for office and mobile professionals.

Suited to multitasking office work.

The eight-core CPU and 32GB RAM handle heavy multitasking, virtual machines and large spreadsheets comfortably. The integrated AMD Radeon graphics and 60Hz panel are not aimed at gaming, 3D rendering or colour-critical creative work. Buyers needing a dedicated GPU or higher refresh external display should look elsewhere.

32GB RAM and 1TB PCIe NVMe drive decide fit

Memory is upgraded to 32GB and storage to a 1TB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD, both user-accessible for future expansion up to 64GB and 2TB respectively. If your workflow demands more memory or storage than these ceilings, this configuration will not meet the requirement.

Questions about this item

How do I install additional RAM in the 3535, and which slot do people often use incorrectly?

The laptop comes with 32 GB already installed and supports up to 64 GB total. Most owners open the back cover, insert the new module into the empty SO-DIMM slot, and forget to seat it fully until the retention clips click.

What maintenance or replacement will the 1 TB PCIe SSD need over time?

The drive has no moving parts, so no mechanical maintenance is required. Monitor its health in Windows; if write endurance is reached after several years, replace it with another M.2 PCIe SSD up to 2 TB.

Which limit appears first during a long compile or render on the Ryzen 7 7730U?

Sustained workloads hit the processor's thermal ceiling first. The 15 W base power and thin 0.75 in chassis cause clock speeds to drop from the 4.5 GHz boost toward the base frequency within minutes.
