Tower desktop for everyday computing

The Dell Inspiron 3670 is a tower desktop built around an Intel Core i7-8700 processor with six cores. It ships with 16 GB of DDR3 memory installed in one of two slots and a 250 GB SATA SSD. Windows 11 Pro comes pre-installed and a 5G Wi-Fi/Bluetooth adapter is included.

Fits a standard tower build

The LGA 1151 socket and two memory slots allow future processor or RAM upgrades within the same platform. The SATA SSD leaves drive bays free for additional hard drives or SSDs. Integrated graphics handle display output without a discrete card, saving expansion slots and power budget.

250 GB SSD with 16 GB DDR3

The solid-state drive provides fast boot and application loading for the operating system and core programs. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR3 memory gives comfortable headroom for multitasking, web browsing and office workloads. Storage capacity will fill quickly with large media libraries or modern games, and DDR3 limits peak memory bandwidth compared to newer standards.

Questions about this item

How long can the i7-8700 sustain full speed before the tower chassis reaches its thermal limit?

The 3670 tower uses a standard desktop cooler for the i7-8700; under continuous load the fan ramps up and the chassis warms but stays within normal office temperatures.

What is the typical fan noise and heat output when the PC runs all day?

With the i7-8700 and 16 GB DDR3 the system idles quietly; during long sessions the fan becomes audible but not intrusive and the case remains warm to the touch.

Which display cable and monitor port are needed to get video from this tower?

The 3670 provides standard desktop video outputs; connect a monitor with a matching HDMI or DisplayPort cable — both are common on modern displays.
