Dell Inspiron i5579-5118GRY 15.6" Touch laptop

This Dell Inspiron laptop runs Windows 10 on an Intel Core i5-8250U quad-core processor with a 15.6 inch Full HD touch display. It suits students and office workers who want a responsive screen for everyday productivity and media viewing.

8GB DDR4 memory and 1TB SATA hard drive

The 8GB DDR4 memory handles web browsing, document editing and video playback without slowdown. The single memory slot limits future upgrades. The 1TB SATA hard drive stores large media libraries but loads applications more slowly than solid-state storage.

Intel UHD Graphics 620 integrated graphics

Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 drives the 1920x1080 touch panel for desktop work and streaming video. It is not suited for modern gaming or intensive 3D rendering. The fan stays quiet during typical office tasks and the 802.11ac WLAN with Bluetooth keeps wireless peripherals connected.

Questions about this item

Will the single memory slot limit how much RAM I can add alongside the existing 8GB DDR4?

The laptop has one memory slot total, so the installed 8GB DDR4 occupies it; expanding capacity requires replacing the module rather than adding a second stick.

How can I verify the Intel UHD Graphics 620 is active after installing Windows 10?

Open Device Manager, expand Display adapters, and confirm Intel UHD Graphics 620 appears without a warning icon; the driver version shown there matches the installed driver.

Does the box include a media card reader cable or must I buy one separately?

The built-in media card reader is integrated into the chassis, so no extra cable is needed; the package supplies the laptop, AC adapter and documentation only.
