Latitude 5420 for mobile professionals

The Dell Latitude 5420 is a refurbished business laptop built for professionals who need reliable performance on the move. It runs Windows 11 Pro on an Intel Core i7-1165G7 processor with 64GB of memory and a 1TB SSD. The 14.0-inch non-touch display shows 1920 x 1080 resolution. Integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics handle everyday visual tasks.

Thunderbolt 3 and HDMI 2.0 expand connectivity

Two Thunderbolt 3 ports and one HDMI 2.0 output let you attach high-speed storage, docks or external monitors without adapters. A USB 3.1 Type-A port, RJ-45 Ethernet and a headset jack cover legacy peripherals. The micro SD card reader simplifies media transfer from cameras or phones. Internal speakers and a webcam support conference calls out of the box.

64GB memory and 1TB SSD handle heavy workloads

The 64GB memory configuration keeps large datasets, virtual machines and many browser tabs responsive without swapping. The 1TB SSD provides ample space for projects, applications and local backups. Shared video memory means graphics-intensive rendering or modern gaming will hit limits quickly. Buyers who need discrete GPU power or expandable RAM should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will the 64 GB memory need any upgrade or replacement down the line?

The 64 GB is already the maximum the board supports, so no further memory upgrade is possible and no replacement is expected unless a module fails.

What performance limit appears first when the Core i7-1165G7 runs at full load for long periods?

The integrated Iris Xe graphics share system memory, so extended heavy graphics work will hit memory bandwidth before the CPU reaches its thermal ceiling.

How loud and hot does the 3.03 lb chassis get when it runs all day?

The thin 1.29 inch profile relies on a single fan; expect noticeable fan noise and warm keyboard deck during continuous loads.
