Versatile 2-in-1 for mobile professionals

The DELL Latitude 5290 is a detachable 2-in-1 laptop designed for users who need a tablet and a traditional notebook in one device. It runs Windows 11 Pro on an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor with 8 GB of onboard DDR4 memory. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 620 handles everyday visual tasks.

Detachable keyboard and modern ports

A 12.5 inch FHD IPS touchscreen with 1920 x 1080 resolution separates from the travel keyboard for tablet use. Connectivity includes one USB 3.0 port, two USB Type-C ports with DisplayPort functionality, Thunderbolt 3, a headphone jack, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.2. The chassis measures 12 x 8.3 x 0.7 inches and weighs under 4 lbs.

256 GB NVMe storage upgrade path

The 256 GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD replaces slower mechanical drives for faster boot and application load times. Memory is soldered with zero available slots, so buyers who want more than 8 GB RAM or a second internal drive should consider other models. A 65-watt AC adapter and stylus pen are included.

Questions about this item

Does the USB Type-C port support Thunderbolt 3 speeds?

Yes, the system includes one Thunderbolt 3 port alongside a second USB Type-C port with DisplayPort functionality.

What are the exact dimensions for a sleeve or dock fit?

The chassis measures 12 x 8.3 x 0.7 inches, so a sleeve or dock must accommodate that footprint and thickness.

How do I attach the detachable keyboard correctly?

Align the tablet's bottom edge with the keyboard connector and press down until the magnetic latch clicks; the tablet will not power the keyboard if the contacts are misaligned.
