12.5-inch detachable 2-in-1

The Latitude 5290 is a 12.5-inch detachable laptop with a 1920 x 1080 IPS touchscreen. It runs on an Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor with 8 GB of onboard DDR4 RAM and a 128 GB NVMe SSD. Windows 11 Pro comes pre-installed for immediate use. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 620 handles visual output.

Included stylus and 65-watt adapter

A stylus pen is bundled for direct input on the touchscreen, and a 65-watt AC adapter supplies power. Two USB Type-C ports with DisplayPort and Thunderbolt capability support external displays and peripherals. One USB 3.0 port and a headphone jack round out the physical connections. No additional software is included in the package.

Suits mobile professionals needing pen input

This device suits users who want a lightweight detachable form factor with active pen support for note-taking or sketching. Buyers who need more than 128 GB of internal storage or user-upgradable memory should look elsewhere. The 8 GB RAM is soldered and cannot be expanded beyond the factory configuration. Gamers or creators requiring discrete graphics performance will not find it here.

Questions about this item

Can the 8 GB DDR4 memory be upgraded later?

The memory is onboard and the board has 0 free slots, so the 8 GB cannot be increased.

What stops the i5-8350U from holding its top speed during long workloads?

The 65 W AC adapter and the thin 0.7 in chassis limit sustained power before the quad core reaches its 4.2 GHz turbo.

How loud or hot does the detachable 2-in-1 get when it runs all day?

Integrated Intel HD Graphics 620 and the fanless tablet section keep noise low, though the keyboard base can warm under continuous charge.
