Genuine Dell OEM 14" LCD Ribbon Cable

This is a Genuine Dell OEM replacement part for the Latitude 5400 and Latitude 5400 Chromebook Enterprise. It connects the 14-inch non-touchscreen LCD panel to the motherboard while supporting the optional IR infrared camera. Buyers who need a cable for a touchscreen display or a model without the IR camera should not order this part.

Sustained signal integrity for daily use

The flat ribbon construction maintains a stable video link and IR camera data path during continuous operation. It is engineered to withstand repeated hinge movement and normal thermal cycling inside the chassis. Builders who require a cable rated for external monitor signalling or higher bandwidth standards should look elsewhere.

Verify exact model and screen configuration

Confirm the service tag matches Latitude 5400 or Latitude 5400 Chromebook Enterprise before ordering. Ensure the existing panel is a non-touchscreen assembly equipped with the IR camera module. This cable will not fit touchscreen variants, models lacking the IR camera, or any other Dell laptop series.

Questions about this item

Does the 14-inch ribbon cable generate noticeable heat or draw extra power when the Latitude 5400 runs all day?

The 0KN5Y ribbon is a passive video cable; it carries display and IR camera signals without active components, so it adds no measurable heat or power draw.

What laptop parts must already be present for this 0KN5Y cable to function in a Latitude 5400?

You need a non-touchscreen 14-inch LCD panel and the optional IR infrared camera module installed in the Latitude 5400 or Latitude 5400 Chromebook Enterprise.

Will the EDC41_NTS_FHD_EDP_CABLE_IR work with an older Latitude display assembly kept from a previous repair?

Only if that assembly is a non-touch 14-inch panel with the IR camera; the cable does not support touchscreen models or standard webcam-only configurations.
